On January 3, 2015 at Cosumnes Fire Training Facility, John KI6ZWW, Vince KI6NHP, Michael NM3S, and Michael KD6ILC put on a basic Radio training class for area CERT groups. There were 55 people in attendance and were represented by CERT groups from Elk Grove, Folsom, West Sacramento, Metro Fire, and Sacramento City.CERT. The class covered common radio services, makeup of most handheld radios, radio signals, ITU phonetics and standard procedural words.

We also covered February 28, 2015 drill that will involve each of these CERT groups along with Sacramento County ARES.
