2019 February Alpine/Douglas ARES Comment
DCART (Douglas County Amateur Radio Team) members again had great project time reports for February. Hours came from support of Nevada Division of Emergency Management communications and their conference for Emergency Preparedness, participation in hospital and other nets, local training classes, including the formal class at Western Nevada College, maintaining our ham station at 911 and our home stations. Winlink, packet, and FLdigi modes continue to be topics for our members' training efforts. Our Douglas County 911 Emergency Services Director has planned our ham station relocation, still in the 911 building. We will have our own office with provision for all our radio equipment. Our DEC held a meeting in Carson for northwest Nevada ECs so we could review our ARES Connect operations and plan for a field exercise.
