Comments:
KJ6KIZ , Michael Maddalena : Extra Hours of volunteer services was added for the work going towards developing repeater site.
KJ6OCL, KARL FISHER: For our October Meeting/Activity I presented a 1.5 hour "Traumatic Hemorrhage Control" (Stop the Bleed Program) training that was well received. Now there are nine for folks out there that know how to save a life from bleeding out. I have also spent a lot of time this month planing how to roll out the new ARES Task Book to our members. I sense that by-in is going to be a huge lift! Input from other ECs is welcome!
KA7AJQ, Sheila Clement: 2019 October Alpine/Douglas ARES Comment
The Nevada Day Parade was our public service event. Several of our members supported the Parade.
We also began planning for our Nov. 16th SET. Several other counties are participating also.

KI6YUK, Larry Trotter: Work is progressing on the Mt. Hough site. The UHF antennas are on the mast, 900MHz antenna is up, generator serviced, new fuel piping system installed, UHF Combiner/isolator system is in and new Heliax installed. Thanks to W7OWC for organizing the work and many, many hours of his time on putting this all together!
N6CKV, Carl First: October was a busy month for Placer County ARES. First; Brian AI6US ran an informal net for several days during PG&E Power Shutdown to connect various people with gas, ice, and generators. The informal net had over 70 check ins. Then ARES had an exercise on Oct 26 with 14 members participating. Thanks to Orion AI6JB for putting the exercise together.
KJ6HHY, Dale Jay Dennis: Special presentation from Alan Thompson W6WN on 10/25 about the aftermath of the Camp Fire in Butte County last year, and the impacts it had on communications during and following the event. A very interesting presentation that I recommend other ECs consider inviting him to make for their group.
KE6GLA, Jay Harmor: Ran nets during PSPS to allow county residents to report any issues that they may have had. No problems reported.
K6JBH, Robert Cobb: The Lassen Amateur Radio Club had a great meeting in October with members of the Modoc County ARES group. Very good discussions in interoperability between the too counties and the utilization of Winlink.
Thanks Rob Cobb

KM6UWG, Michael Cullen: New group, just getting organized.
